PNW Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar Orientation

Spent a great weekend away in Tacoma, WA with 17 of the most brilliant scholars! The orientation was on a beautiful campus of Puget Sound and all selected Ambassadorial scholars of the Pacific North West were in attendance. The orientation was very helpful, we were able to learn the insides and outs of Rotary International and the Rotary foundation, our responsibilities as scholars and how to present an effective and enjoyable speech. The other scholars all had such unique and vibrant backgrounds it was great to meet them all. One of the things I love about Rotary is their encouragement towards “fellowship”, the amazing Rotarian Ron Adkins provided us with a list of all the local pubs and encouraged us to “check out the town and make fellowship each night”… Funny how the Canadians were always the leaders in dancing and wine tasting! It was a great opportunity to meet the future ambassadors and the changes they will be making the world.
